The morning after we arrived, Mark, Jenn, and I took the kids on a "little" hike up a nearby hill. Needless to say, it was a little steeper than it looked. We had to cross the river right by our camp ground, to start the hike. By the way, the river was FREEZING!! Here are all the kids putting their shoes back on after crossing the river!
The kids all found hiking sticks, and we were off!

This is before we got to the really steep stuff.
This was pretty steep! There were tons of sage brush and prickly, stickery bushes to forage through. Did I mention there was NO trail? By the time we returned to camp, everyone had scratches and cuts all over their legs.
Jenn had to pull Samy up the really steep stuff. I couldn't have pulled ANYONE besides myself. I was huffing and puffing....

It was such a hot day! We packed a lunch and found this little grove of trees to eat lunch under!

After the hike, the kids refreshed themselves in the river by camp! It was SO cold! No-one would go under the water except Bailey and Lexy! Brave girls!

Uncle Scot brought his horses, so the next day the kids did some horseback riding! Here is Ryann with Wendy.

Here is our cute little tent trailer that we slept in! It looks small, but can, if need be, sleep all 6 of us. Tren and Ryann slept in Scot and Jenn's tent with the cousins!

Later that night, we drove up the road to the swimming hole. It's heated geothermally, so it was toasty warm!

On our way back to camp from the swimming hole, Tren took some scenery shots! I think they turned out really good!
Each night we sat around the camp fire and roasted marshmallows and talked until all hours of the night!
When Abby didn't want to listen to you, she put her hands over ears! She's too cute!
Ryann wanted to bring a rope and her volleyball camping so she and Lexy could play volleyball! This is a proud mother moment for me!

We also brought bikes, and the kids rode all over.

We had such a great weekend with family! Now it's back to school, football, soccer, and BIRTHDAY"S! Tren's actual birthday is Sept. 5th. He spent it traveling, on our way up camping. We will celebrate officially when we get home!

Spencer and I check out your blog all the time.. I think Spencer wants to move down by you guys, he says that you always have so much fun.... We are just to boring..:(
