Christmas Eve 2009

"Noel" gets changed quite often: The all time favorite is LEON. We also like LONE, LENO, ONLE (pronounced; only).....

We had our big Christmas dinner on Christmas eve. Bob and Trudy, Jeremy, Spencer, and Pookie were all here to celebrate!

I told all the kids to "show me" how excited they were that it was Christmas eve. Here is what I got!

We found a fun website called "Norad tracks Santa" It shows where in the world Santa is at that very moment on Christmas Eve. It even tells when he enters the state you live in. The kids love to watch this and hurry to get to bed when he is getting close!

Here is Bob, reading the Nativity Story from the Bible. We have a family tradition every Christmas Eve where the kids act out the Nativity story, while someone reads it from the scriptures.

Here is Joseph(Spencer), A wiseman(Cooper), and an angel(Ryann). Cooper wouldn't be Joseph like we wanted him to be. He insisted that he be a wiseman. Luckily, Spencer agreed to be Joseph!

Tren was the shepard. He had a faithful sheep named Pookie!

Bailey was so sweet. She got to be Mary and hold the baby Jesus. She was so serious and cute!

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord!"

The kids get to open one present every Christmas eve. It is ALWAYS pajamas....But still this year they were saying, "I wonder what our present is?" Maybe one day they will figure it out! Until then, I LOVE the sweet innocence and Magic that Christmas brings!

Everyone modeling their new PJ's!

All the kids and Papa!

Grandma and Bailey!

Ryann and Spencer being WIERD!

PAPA JIM!!!

The star sheep in the program, got to wear a bow for a while. Dosen't he look delighted!?

Here we are playing a game of "Knock" before bed.

Mark and Pookie!

Every Christmas Eve, Mark puts a penny on all the kids door handles. If the penny is on the floor in the morning we know they tried to peek at the presents! So far, no-one has dared to see what would happen.....

The kids left out cookies and milk for Santa, and carrots for his Reindeer!
